“Nurses: Expanding Roles in Diagnosis and Treatment of Children and Families with FASD”

Across all of these different settings and roles, nurses have the opportunity to interact with children and families affected by, or at risk for, FASD. Nurses are ideally suited to work with families affected by FASD due skills and expertise in health promotion, screening, and chronic illness management. This talk discusses potential nursing roles in prevention, screening, diagnosis, and treatment of FASD.
